A high-level convening to elevate menopause as a global health and economic priority on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Hosted by the Ministry of Health of Brazil and Ministry of Health of Indonesia
In partnership with MenoGlobal and NYU School of Global Public Health
Scientific understanding and public awareness of menopause are growing, but policy commitment, provider training, and sustained investment have not yet caught up. With 1.2 billion women projected to be menopausal or post-menopausal by 2030, we must convert increased awareness into global action.
By invitation only, menopause advocates—health ministers, elected officials, UN and multilateral representatives, philanthropic funders, private sector partners, civil society, and media—will convene to help close the gap between the evidence that already exists and the policy, training, and systems needed to put it into practice. Together, we will spotlight the array of policy action happening at local and national levels around the world, and build political momentum to accelerate menopause research, policy and care.
